Endeavor guys are great to deal with.
160 wide 1 season riding Canada
This thing is great. Done a few snow shoe runs, lots of resort riding and tree runs. It's a lot of fun in tight trees as it turns on a dime. It's the first swallow tail I've owned so I don't really have a basis for comparison. Although I can say I'm super happy with it. I've done a few wide open deep steeps with it and it was great. Less hard work on the back leg for sure.
By far my favourite board ever. Handles all terrain so well, and it’s a dream to ride in the pow. Would highly recommend to anyone
What a board!
Such an aggressive and fun board! I've been riding this thing everywhere powder, groomers, bumps the lot 100% would recommend!
It Doesn't Make Sense
I received my Archetype a few days prior to the time of my writing this review. We didn't have any fresh powder here, and I didn't have a trip coming up right away. I took it out to ride some local groomers, anyway, just to get familiar with the board and to get my binding setup dialed in. It exceeded my expectations from the first turn. It locks into a carve and rails in a way that caught me completely by surprise. With most boards classified as powder boards the typical comment regarding the groomer experience is "It's ok on groomers...for a powder board...good enough for getting you to the next powder stash." The Archetype isn't like that. It's not just "good enough" on groomers. It's phenomenal. Not very often does a board completely surprise me by the way it rides in particular terrain compared to what I had expected. The Archetype did that in the best possible way. This "powder quiver" board, in a handful of runs on very hard-packed groomers, earned its place as my new favorite board (in 30 years of riding), and is likely the most versatile board that I own or have ever ridden. I say "likely" because I haven't had it out in powder, its home territory, yet. I ride a lot of boards every season and if I had to choose one to own as an only board, the Archetype would be the one. If you're looking for a freeride board with powder prowess that somehow manages to not detract from its performance everywhere else then this is it.
